Topic overview

Today, I want to talk us about the contents of my unit. These days I have been studying the unit 5 for 3 consecutive days. The unit has been of future with its three forms. In English, the future is composed by 3 different ways. One way, it is those that is formed with “will” or “won’t” in negative forms, plus infinitive. This way is used for talk about predictions (If he continues so, he will fail it); offers (I will left tomorrow); promises (they will do it if all is correct); or decisions made at the time of speaking (It won’t be finished in December). Another one, it is the form which is composed with “ (be) going to + infinitive. This form is used to talk about decisions (I’m going to study Biology), plans (We aren’t going to go to London) and intentions made before the time of speaking (They’re going to try to do it). The last way to make the future is using the “present continuous” and it is used to talk about arrangements for the future (She is running the next race). Normally, in this last way it is indicated the time adverb and almost never is used its negative form.

Also, in this unit, I have had the opportunity to read many interesting and curious story about people who makes amazing and big travel, like for example, Yuri Gagarin, the first person to travel in space. With each one of them, I have learned a great amount of words and phrasal verbs, many of them which will help me in the future. Most of these words are about travel and things related with the travels. I have learned that the control which it has to pass to travel is called “customs”. Until now, I knew that you have to dress off your belt. Also, that  the room where the passengers have to wait before the plane “take off” is called “departure lounge” and that you have to “check in” your “boarding card” in your respective “check-in desk”; and also, it is different “get on” a plane/train/bus/bike than “get in” a car or taxi.

Finally, a kind of informal way to write letters in which it isn’t necessary to write the pronoun in each sentence. The last thing is when the plane touchdown you should have put your belt and when you head for any places, for example to the Moon in spaceship, you had better if you write or send a letter to your family, so they will be quieter.

Thanks you very much all.
